Tips for Tennis Coordination Drills

Tennis Balloon Drills

Tennis balloon drills can be a fun and effective addition to tennis training. The balloon is especially good for drills to improve hand-eye coordination, footwork and timing. For example, you can bounce the balloon back and forth, trying to keep it in the air for as long as possible. Another option is to use the balloon as a target and practice targeted punches at it. Here you can vary the strokes and, for example, alternate forehand and backhand strokes.

You can also use the balloon as an “opponent” by moving it back and forth in a certain area of the court and trying to hit it. This trains footwork and improves timing. However, the air balloon can also be used for time-sensitive drills. Overall, exercises with the balloon offer a varied and fun way to supplement tennis training.
