One thing kids always have trouble with is correctly anticipating the spin of the tennis ball. In tennis, there are hundreds of ways a tennis ball can spin in the air. To put it simply, there are 4: forward (forward spin), backward (backward spin), to the left (sideways spin), to the right (sideways spin). Based on the opponent’s (coach’s) feeding motion, the child can anticipate where the ball will bounce after it bounces. This video is about exactly that. The children should learn to remember the coach’s movement and anticipate where the ball will bounce. In the rest of the video, the whole thing is made even harder. These drills are perfect for large groups of children. Have fun practicing.
