The cross-court alley volley is one of the most effective shots in doubles. Whenever the net player receives a volley, the space between the opposing net player and the baseline player often becomes the highest-percentage target. In this video, players learn this tactical volley through a progressive training approach. The session begins with technical development, continues with game-based application drills, and finishes with a competitive doubles game where players learn to recognize and exploit the open cross-court alley under match conditions. The drills are ideal for four or more players and fit perfectly into any doubles training session.
