This cooperative tennis drill is ideal for larger groups and helps young players develop technical and tactical skills in a fun and engaging way. The drill is played in the mini court using red balls. Players begin with an active split-step out of a hoop before completing a predefined stroke combination together. Instead of competing directly against each other, both players work as a team to successfully execute specific shot patterns. Common examples include forehand crosscourt followed by forehand down the line, as well as various forehand and backhand combinations. Whenever the required sequence is completed successfully, both players earn a point. Players then rotate sides, creating new partnerships and fresh challenges throughout the session. The constantly changing shot patterns encourage players to improve directional control, consistency and awareness while developing confidence with different stroke combinations. The cooperative scoring system also promotes teamwork, communication and positive learning experiences.
