In this video, we demonstrate a variety of fitness and coordination drills using two agility ladders. The exercises combine coordination, speed, speed endurance and balance, making them an ideal athletic addition to tennis training. The drills are demonstrated with two players working simultaneously, creating high intensity and short recovery periods. However, all exercises can easily be adapted for regular group training with multiple players.
Different movement patterns and physical challenges help players improve their footwork, movement control, reactions and overall athletic performance. A great training setup for coaches who want to go beyond traditional agility ladder footwork and combine coordination and conditioning in a varied and challenging way.
