The “Success Compass For Tennis Coaches” has now been released in Version 2.0. Following the success of the first edition, the book has been significantly expanded, revised, and deepened in numerous areas. With 723 pages instead of the previous 672, the new edition offers an even more comprehensive guide for club coaches who want to develop their players holistically and take their training to the next level.
New Chapter: Tournament Tennis and Working with Talents
One of the most important additions is the new chapter “Tournament Tennis and Working with Talents in Training.” This chapter combines my personal experiences on the path toward becoming a professional player with current knowledge on talent development, mental strength, and practical tournament preparation. It covers topics such as identifying and evaluating talent, the role of parents in the developmental process, learning from wins and losses, transitioning from obligation to intrinsic motivation, the importance of rituals and mental stability, preparation for tournaments, practical on-site tournament support, and dealing with setbacks while building resilience. The result is a balanced combination of personal insight and practical know-how that can be applied directly in the everyday work of a club coach.

New Exercises and Video Content
The practical section of the book has also been expanded. It now includes the “1-on-1 Tournament” drill, which is ideal for motivating match practice. In addition, a complete video series on member acquisition has been added, explaining step by step how to structure an effective trial lesson and how to turn interested newcomers into long-term members.
Improved Readability and Refined Content
Many texts and formulations have been revised, refined, or more clearly structured to improve readability and enhance the precision of the content. Version 2.0 is therefore much more than an updated edition. It represents the fully developed evolution of a book that has already become a valuable resource for many coaches, now presented in an even more practical, comprehensive, and accessible format.
