A good feel for the ball is extremely important in tennis in order to be able to execute challenging shots safely. A good feel for the ball is particularly advantageous for stop balls, slices and delicate strokes. Often, not much attention is paid to training the feel for the ball in tennis training. Yet it is so important that tennis players also understand which technique they need to use for short balls. In this video, I’ll show you a nice approach to training ball awareness in children’s and youth training. There is an auxiliary exercise and a main exercise. In the second part, we combine the auxiliary exercise with the main exercise in a game form. Have fun trying it out!
