In this video, I revisit an analysis from my Instagram series “Can You Help?”. In this format, I present technical challenges from real players and invite the community to share their coaching insights and solutions. This time, we looked at a player struggling with his second serve.
The analysis revealed that the main issue was the toss: too high, too far to the left, and in some cases drifting too far behind the head. As a result, the player’s balance was compromised, his weight stayed too far back, and he was unable to produce a reliable, high-quality kick serve with proper spin and control.
In this session, I take you step by step through the correction process on court. We start by adjusting the toss location and height to create a more reachable and repeatable contact point. From there, the focus shifts to moving the body weight forward into the court and establishing a stable upward swing path to generate heavy topspin on the second serve.
This video gives you a practical look at how to systematically improve a kick serve by refining toss mechanics and body positioning — ideal for coaches and players who want to build a more consistent and reliable second serve.
